Bernardo’s Medical Journey
Bernardo had his first seizures three hours after birth, just like his older sister Marcela. He is on medication for his seizures and is stimulated with physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy sessions. He has a happy and kind personality. He likes to bring families and friends together and loves dancing, sports, and music. He doesn’t speak, but uses alternative communication most of the time and understands explanations and basic commands. Bernardo attended regular school without acquiring pedagogical content until he turned 15, and then he just continues to attend therapies and have a social life full of activities!
